Böker Swiss Dagger

The Swiss Dagger was a standard sidearm for Swiss pikemen during the 15th and 16th centuries, often occupying a space between dagger and short sword due to its considerable blade length. Commonly referred to as the Baselard, it was typically not issued by the military but purchased privately by soldiers and carried as a secondary weapon.
A defining feature of the Swiss Dagger is its distinctive pommel and crossguard design, with curved contours that date back to the early 13th century, faithfully replicated in our handcrafted reproduction. The handle is made from carefully selected local cherry wood, prized since ancient times for its warm, reddish hue and natural elegance.
The double-edged blade features a sharpened, symmetrical point and a diamond-shaped cross-section, just like the historical originals, offering superior structural strength and penetration. It is forged from C75 carbon steel, a traditional material known for its toughness and cutting performance.
Each dagger bears an engraved logo and a unique serial number, guaranteeing authenticity and consistent craftsmanship. Supplied with an ornate metal scabbard. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen.
