Ontario Knife Co RAT -3 with nylon sheath

The Ontario RAT‑3 is a compact yet tough fixed-blade knife, perfect for daily carry, bushcraft, and field use. Featuring a 3.9″ full-flat-ground blade crafted from high-carbon 1075 steel with a matt black powder coat, it balances sharp edge retention with easy maintenance. The drop-point shape and stout 0.125″ thickness offer both control and strength.

Its full-tang build includes a contoured canvas micarta handle (available in tan or black) increasing grip and ergonomics. A lanyard hole through the thick tang adds versatility. At ~7.9″ total length and ~0.6 lb (272 g), it’s compact yet substantial.

Comes with a MOLLE-compatible black nylon sheath (some versions use Kydex with Tek-Lok) for secure belt carry and utility. Made in the USA, the RAT‑3 is designed with input from Randall’s Adventure & Training (RAT) for reliability under tough conditions.
